Aaron Kees grew up in Roanoke, Virginia, and graduated from Virginia Tech in 2011 with degrees in Accounting and Finance. In 2018, he married Danielle, and together they have three boys: Judah, Micah, and David. After more than a decade in the corporate world—which took them to Charlotte, North Carolina, from 2018 to 2023—Aaron was called into ministry, with a deep desire to see the church grow in the knowledge of God and behold His beauty, majesty, and glory.

In 2023, Aaron joined the staff of Wellspring, where he eventually became Director of Ministry. He completed his Master of Divinity at Reformed Theological Seminary (Charlotte) in the spring of 2025. In March 2026, he was ordained and installed as pastor of Wellspring.

Aaron enjoys reading—especially theology, the classics, and a wide range of novels—along with yard and home projects, and spending time with friends and family. Above all, he delights to be among the people of God as they are gathered, perfected, and made ready for the New Creation.
