Who We Are
Wellspring is a congregation of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, gathered in Daleville, Virginia. Wellspring began as a home church in 2001, when our founding pastor and his family moved to Botetourt County. What started in living rooms and rented halls—Troutville Town Hall, Lord Botetourt High School, Attic Productions—became, in 2006, an organized congregation of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. In 2012, we moved into the building where we still worship in today. None of this happened because of our strength. Two decades in, we’re grateful for a God who plants, gathers, and grows His Church—and we’re looking to the years ahead with the same trust that carried us through the first.
Our Vision
This is not a slogan, nor a finished product. It is where we believe the Lord is leading us—a direction we’re walking together, in dependence on Him.
Our Mission
This is the task Christ has given to every church, in every season, regardless of size. Every member of this church is called to participate—according to the gifts and station God has given them.
Our Distinctives
A short introduction to what makes us us—not an exhaustive theology.
Our Confession
Scripture alone is our final authority—every doctrine we hold and every practice we follow answers to it, and to nothing above it. We also believe that faithful Christians before us have done careful, prayerful work summarizing what Scripture teaches, and that we’re wiser for standing on their shoulders rather than starting over every generation.
Wellspring holds to the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger and Shorter Catechisms as our confessional standards—not as a substitute for the Bible, but as a trustworthy summary of what it teaches.
