Giving

The Act of Giving (Tithe)

We desire that you experience blessing through the act of faithful giving to Christ’s church and his work. As the Apostle Paul wrote to the Philippian church and said: “Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit” (Philippians 4:17).

Why Give?

Give to guard your heart against the deceitfulness of riches (Mark 4:19). Give because Jesus—who was rich—became poor to bring us to God (Philippians 2:5–11). Give to support the care of your needy brothers and sisters (Acts 2:42–47). Give to support ministers of the Gospel near and far (1 Timothy 5:17–18). Give out of joy at the glory of God’s grace (2 Corinthians 9:6–9).

Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver2 Corinthians 9:7
