Russell Johnston was born and raised in a Christian family on a farm in southwest Virginia. He met his wife Bonita at college and they were married in 1969. They have one son, Scott, and four grandchildren. Russell likes spending time with family and friends. His hobbies include camping, working with his hands and tinkering on cars. He enjoys serving as a Deacon at Wellspring where the Word of God is preached.
