Rev. Seth McCormick grew up in Cleveland, OH. He graduated from Calvin College (now University) in 2002 with a double major in Psychology and Communications and a Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2008. He has served in various pastoral roles in campus ministry, church ministry, business place Chaplaincy, and even as a minor league baseball Chaplain for two seasons. He currently serves as a staff chaplain at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, and he has had the honor of serving with Carilion’s Hospice team as their hospice chaplain for five years. Seth is a Board-Certified Chaplain (BCC) with the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC). Seth was ordained in the ARP in 2023.
In 2018, he married Caitlin, and they have three children. Seth loves to see the Body of Christ equipped to be His hands and feet to a sinful, broken world. Seth is an avid runner, loves to read theology and about the American Civil War in a rocking chair, and enjoys being outside with their kiddos. He is grateful to God for the redemption and second chances he and Caitlin have been given in life, having experienced both the personal pain of divorce and miscarriage.
