Visiting a new church can feel like a lot—new building, new faces, new rhythms. Here’s exactly what to expect so you can walk in ready to worship, not wonder.
Service Times
Worship begins at 10:00 AM on Sundays. We’d love for you to arrive by 9:45—it gives you time to find a seat, grab a cup of coffee, and meet a few people before we begin.
A typical service runs about an hour and twenty minutes. On the first Sunday of the month, when we celebrate the Lord’s Supper, plan on closer to an hour and a half.
What Worship Looks Like
Our worship is a conversation—God speaks to us through His Word, and we respond in praise, confession, prayer, and song. You’ll find a blend of traditional and contemporary music, with lyrics on screen so you can sing along whether the hymn is three hundred years old or three years old.
The service includes Scripture reading, prayer, congregational singing, a sermon (usually around 35 minutes, working through a book of the Bible), and—on first Sundays—the Lord’s Supper. We call this “light liturgy”: simple, ordered, and unhurried, without being stiff. (New to a liturgy like this? Here’s what each part means)
What to Wear
Come as you are. You’ll see everything from suits to jeans on a given Sunday, and nobody will bat an eye either way. Wear what lets you focus on worship, not on standing out.
First Sunday: The Lord’s Supper and a Shared Table
On the first Sunday of every month, we celebrate Communion together, then stay for a potluck meal as one congregation—all generations, around one table. Sunday School doesn’t meet that morning, so there’s no extra time added to your visit. Children’s Church is paused on these Sundays as well, so families can worship—and observe the Lord’s Supper—together. If you’re visiting on a first Sunday, stay for lunch. It’s one of the best ways to meet people.
For Your Kids
We love having children in worship, and we’ve built out care for every age:
- Nursery (birth–age 2): staffed by screened, trained volunteers who follow our child-safety protocols.
- Sunday School (ages 3 through 5th grade): meets most Sundays, with the exception of the first Sunday of the month and some holidays.
- Children’s Church (ages 3–Kindergarten): during the sermon, so the littlest ones can worship at their own level. Children’s Church is paused on these Sundays, but nursey is extended up to age 3.
- Activity packets with crayons and coloring pages are available if your child stays in the service with you.
Every volunteer who works with children undergoes a background check and safety training. Your kids’ safety isn’t an afterthought here—it’s a condition.
